American Big Guys Throwing Team   A Not for Profit Organization                                                                       Established 1989

Jerry England Memorial

The background photo is of him in his last meet at the World Masters Championships in Gateshead England.

On August 7th we will be having a Memorial Day for
my father at our place in Brown County IN. Coach passed away during Covid and we decided to wait till everyone could come together. The schedule is 12:30 to 3:00 food and drinks, 3:00 Memorial and 6:30 the Jerry England Memorial Great Downhill Throw which is open to anyone who wants to throw the shot or the weight. It will not be official so Crouser can't come and break the Worlds Record again. I am limiting the field to 16 so if you want to throw contact me through the American Big Guys website. Post meet festivities will last late into the evening.

Out of town housing is sparce since we live in Brown County but Nashville and Martinsville are 20 min, Franklin is 30 min. Bloomington is 35 min and Indy is 40 to 55 min depending. Brown County Rentals do houses in the woods and there are B&B's all over. Our address is 2300 Three Story Hill Rd Morgantown

We hope that everyone who knew and were influenced by coach, come for a great send off with like minded people who to were touched by a great man.

If you are coming we would appreciate a confirmation by responding on the American Big Guys contact page.
